Plan your year, your month, your day, and especially your meals. Why?
...because if YOU don't plan for yourself, then someone else will plan it for you. And it may not necessarily be what's good for your body - sugary, fatty, floury, colorful, processed, or deliciously unhealthy. Or maybe it's diet-friendly. It all depends on where you stand on the health ladder and how much the person cooking for you (including yourself) cares about your health.
BUT there's good news: the PLAN trumps everything.
If you plan and pay attention to what you eat, what's good for your body, and what it needs to function healthily, then your brain will focus on that plan and you will shop and cook accordingly, or choose ready-made meals that fit the plan, or ask others to cook according to the plan. Did you know that the most common question a housewife asks is: "What should I cook today?"
